i just got back from seoul but i'm stuck in pyongyang international airport until they're done making sure i'm safe or something.

i don't know. i hope they won't take away the souvenirs i got for my friends back home.

is there anything fun to do at an airport? i've been here for nearly three hours.

:) i got news that the supporters of the korean representatives started donating to funds to improve the welfare of those who live in the rural area of north korea, including my village. this will really, really help them. i hope they'd be able to fix the facilities there, especially the roads and the schools.

there's a huge pile of hate mail in my room waiting to be opened. i guess i should've expected it when my sponsors told me to hold off on bringing a date to the social.

on the bright side, at least i can recycle the paper for training or for room decorations, because clearly there isn't enough origami hung around the room.

i've never been to costa rica before, but i just did some reading about it and it seems like a scenic country, though i doubt the missions are for sightseeing. it'll definitely be interesting. who knows, i might even come back speaking spanish fluently.

i woke up today with a bad headache and sun hee was sleeping on the couch so i fell off, which made the headache worse. i kind of thought it was a really weird dream at first, but it wasn't. and then she woke up and seemed kind of upset.

hey, so, i have 2 sacks of sweet potatoes all the way from north korea. don't get me wrong, i love them, but i don't think i can finish all of it, so if you'd like some, feel free to take them outside my room. you can eat them with apples or cranberry sauce, fry them, make croquettes, souffles, bake a pie, and so forth.

ranking week totally wiped me out. i don't think i've slept this much before.

i'm kind of glad i didn't go to the gym yesterday, but i hope everyone's all right. are your guardians coming for parent's week? i was hoping my grandfather would come, except i don't think he will. he's d be too tired to go on a trip and make a trip all the way here. it'd be cool if he could, though, he's always wanted to visit me. i heard his sweet potato farm is doing really well this year, i bet he's excited to start digging them out next month.

so i guess that leaves my older sister? i don't know if she'd like the idea of appearing on television, though... people back home don't really like her very much. sometimes i don't, too, but not in the way they seem to dislike her. she's just irritating in an older sister way.
